Active Citizenship program is supported by British Council since 2010. This program has been implemented in 10 districts of Punjab. Youth from all over the area are engaged to get various skills including cross cultural communication, intercultural dialogues and its effective role in community action. They are encouraged to play a vital role in their communities by addressing social issues through volunteering and engaging the local community influencers. This program include youth capacity building on different skills including communication, advocacy, citizenship, volunteering, social action projects, resource mobilization, social entrepreneurship, partnership and networking skills through exploring themselves, youth led social action projects, policy dialogues and developing networks. PWS has trained more than 2000 youth in 10 districts of Punjab including Layyah, Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhang, Chiniot, Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan and have implemented more than 200 Social Action Projects through these trained volunteers.
