Program for Wellbeing and Sustainability (PWS)

Climate Change

Introduction

Weather pattern changes across the globe are a severe issue. Pakistan has, however, been defiantly impacted by climate change. Evidence in this regard has been the devastating scaled-up floods in 2010 and 2022. PWS is of the view that building ecological resilience to withstand climate change is a cardinal need of life on earth. Initiatives in this regard shall be guided by the UN-SDG-13 which says of urgent actions to combat climate change and its impacts.

Program objectives

  • Creating a maintainable, and harmonious relationship between the natural environment and human activities through awareness raising, demonstration trials, linkages, and networking.
  • Striving for sustainable land use i.e., responsible agriculture, avoiding deforestation, and supporting reforestation.
