Gender Equality
Introduction
Women and girls’ empowerment is the Gender Equality lense of PWS under the guidance of UN-SDG-05 which emphatically says of achieving Gender Equality and empowerment of women/girls. The country’s economy will stay enfeebled, if, education, inclusion, and mainstreaming of women and girls was not addressed. Thus, PWS believes in gender-equal opportunities and will play its role in empowering women and girls to reach their full potential for a more equitable society.
Program objectives
- Raise awareness in men and boys as well as in women and girls on laws and religious expressions on the elimination/reduction in the magnitude of Gender-Based Violence.
- Economically and socially empower women through access to and control over resources, security,and the justice system.
- Involve women and girls, men and boys by organizing them providing interactive opportunities to positively impact mutual cohesion, and acceptance.
